Drawing from kids drawings!!!

One of my favorite things to do when I teach comics is to take the drawings of my kids characters, and then re-create them in my own style. These were all from a big class I ran at Temple Beth Ami in DC a month ago. Lots of imagination and to get the picture they've gotta prove I taught them something which is fun.

Info on my classes can be found at jonahcomic.com

Inks for The Book of Ruth

I'm starting to shill… I mean promote my next Holiday book coming out in may. Working on two  books at the same time (with so many other projects at the same time), is more than I've ever done before. Hoping that people like the work, because it's coming out on time no matter what. Here's my working cover, with colors soon to follow.

It's Ruth by the way, from the bible :).

New Page: Sketch Cards

I wanted to make a new page to show the quick Sketch Cards that I make when I need to break from my actual paid work. I try to use them to loosen up and not be to worried about how they come out, make mistakes and all that stuff. If you do like one though, I'm giving them away for $15, so please email me through this website, Enjoy:

Here's the Sketch Card Page

Process for Batman Pinup

I thought I would share the pencils, inks, and flat colors for my Batman pinup I did for my Humor class. Enjoy!

DC Comics Sample Pages: Heatwave

New to my Narrative Art Section: DC Comics sample pages/Narrative art homework.

This is a Flash story about the character Heatwave.

Blog Update: New Pinups and looks!

I've finally gotten around to updating and adding new Content to my blog! Enjoy the new content from my work from the Kubert School, my self published comics and beyond!

Check out my updated dinosaur image from last year. I have been experimenting with more filters in my work and wanted to unify the piece more. This and more are in my pinup Section of my website. Enjoy!

Jonah Comic Book

My new big project has printed and the support has been phenomenal. The Jonah Comic Book, a retelling of the classic bible story is already in 30+ locations for the upcoming High Holidays. It has been amazing to see that so many Jewish educators are excited in using comics to teach about Judaism.

It's been a real kick, and you should go to Jonahcomic.com to see what it's all about and experience the timeless story in a new way.
